Datalytes is a platform that allows you to share your ideas, concepts, and achievements with a network of individuals just like yourself!
Meeting in-person
Nothing beats a face-to-face meetup with a data friend. Hang out at one of our low-pressure networking/friend-making events!
Our meetup philosophy is to have more higher-quality conversations with fellow professionals, more time to speak on the subjects that you like, be it the deepest topics such as consistent hashing methods in a sharding database, or maybe just a rant about work or the new cat you brought home last week.
There’s a saying that there’s always someone out there with an answer. While this isn’t often the case in our line of work, there often is someone who can empathise and help out. And perhaps, upon reflection out loud, you find your own solution! 🙂
Share your ideas with others and who knows what you might find. The sky is the limit on what you can do here!
Discussing online
Our Discord community is a virtual place to access the network if you can’t make it to our regular meetups.
Ask for support, offer help to others, or kick back, find other common interests with new friends and take that offline if you like!
Just as with all you could do in person, this is equally a place for sharing ideas, working together etc.
Remember to participate! We can always lurk, but hey, wouldn’t it be nice to be the one who brings the party? 🥳
Posting on Medium and Towards Data Science
These are established networks for posting blogs, ideas and publications to be shared with other data professionals around the world.
Having publications help establish your personal brand and your domain authority.
It’s a treasure trove of information if you’re brave enough to dig deep and waddle through the sea of information!
Guest posting on Datalytes
While TDS and Medium are great sources of information, it’s also a daunting place and you may have valid fears that your post might get lost in the noise!
Meanwhile, Datalytes is a more focused community of UK-based data professionals.
What you post here stands to your ability and authority in the industry.
Also, get better engagement with your hard work! Readers are probably friends that you know and will engage with your content.
As such, potential employers or clients would look upon your work as a great showcase of your ability, and how you could contribute to their business problems.
If you’re looking for work through Datalytes, we’ll also definitely make sure to put forward your written articles as extra brownie points to your potential recruiter.
Sharing is Caring
Alas, you know your subject best. So go out and share it with the world, through any means you prefer!
We’re rooting for you!
